Seven's Pinballorama is a classic pinball arcade located in Prince Edward Island, Canada. Most of the videos are pinball related but every now and then we do something else.
Don't just look at them. Check those fuses!
Don't just look at the fuse. Test it.
If you are visiting Prince Edward Island or the Maritimes come check us out. We're a few minutes outside of Charlottetown. About 30 minutes from Cavendish and the Green Gables house. Pay to enter and all machines are on free play.

Gottlieb EM Pinball NOT Ending the Game

Aw rats... Audio dropped out as you were talking about your car woes (26:41). And returned just at the end of the poor roadkill chat (28:34).
hows it holding up after 6 months? does it still work well?
I ended up not keeping it and gave it away. I found holding the button to heat it up slowed me down. I'd rather have the iron heat up and hold temp so I can solder something, position another wire, solder that, position another, solder that. With the Frogbro it had to heat up each time. It's good if you only need to solder something every once in a while.
What did you use forn he splitter? Male stereo to dual female stereo (TRS) or male stereo to dual female mono (TS)
SEVEN"S PINBALLORAMA, Why do pinball games use a combination of Slow Blow and Fast Blow Fuses?
Safety for the circuit they're running. Some times you want things to pop right away. Other things can handle a little power fluctuation.
@@SevensPinballorama But how do you know if a circuit can handle power fluctuations which would take a Slow blow? The Fast Blow circuits can't handle power fluctuations for what reasons?
@@SevensPinballorama It doesn't say in the pinball game service manuals what "determines a circuit" to use a slow blow or fast blow fuse, which the designers choose to use a slow blow compared to using a fast blow or vise versa for reasons
Sorry. I misunderstood. I thought you meant in general why use one over the other. For replacing the fuse in a game, the manual should tell you if it's slow or fast blow.
Thank you for making this analysis, really wholesome ♥
No problem 😊 It was fun to make and test actually.
I have a data East The Simpsons machine. The left flipper moves very slow. Any suggestions?
With the power off, manually move each flipper. Do they feel the same or does one feel stiffer than the other?
If it were me? I'd be looking at all the funding the governments are throwing around for renewable energy systems these days. As a business you can write the entire thing off. No shortage of wind on that island that is for certain.
If I owned the building - or had a 15 year lease - I could solar the roof. Small scale wind turbines don't produce well enough, but lots of solar rebates.
Thanks for the reminder. And some of the fuses are hot when the game is off but still plugged into the wall. Ouch!
I always say pull and test the fuse cause they can blow deep in the side.
That's shocking! 3:30 😀
Make sure your new fuses are up to the job. ua-cam.com/video/B90_SNNbcoU/v-deo.html

Ruh-roh. Is Hurricane being difficult?
@SevensPinballorama That Ferris wheel damn near defeated me. I got it tho. That dang plastic under the ramp over the screws that hold the ferris wheel down. How did they think someone was going to get to it without disassembling the entire game???
@SevensPinballorama wish I could post a picture here of what a former owner or tech did to my ferris wheels. Some people 🙄
Send it on facebook.

Cooper and Andrews brand from texas is good...but Mr Cooper died so its just Andrews now
That's cheap! I expected power to cost more on an island. Love your arcade Sir! You should organize some pinball or arcade games battles, and stream them! By the way, do you also have arcade classics like Super Mario or Donkey Kong?
I want to spend more money on electricity in my home diner and pinball arcade.... So can you tell me about the light curtain in the background with the pac man etc. how big and how it works? Thanks. And yes still want a Volley, just a nice looking and fun game to play. And a FLASH too would be nice, but I'm thinking the power draw just for the FLASH light might be very expensive with all the lightning bolts on that game.
That is the Govee LED Curtain light. Actually, it's 3 of them joined together. Each panel is about 1.5m X 2m. 520 LEDs per panel. There is an app you use to load different pre-programmed "scenes", or you can make your own. If I recall you can sequence up to 5 scenes to play in a row. I keep meaning to look if there is a firmware update for this, but I forget.
@@SevensPinballorama thanks, I will look that up.
Wow! That was cheaper than I thought!
Damn radiation

I bought a 32 channel Project 8 a few years ago from Reverb. It was packed in a clothing packing box (thin corrugated cardboard), filled with packing peanuts and a couple of patio chair cushions. Mangled the frame, I’m still trying to rebuild it. Your box opening took me right back, my heart was racing haha. I recently found a 24 channel used at an out of state Guitar Center. Arrived on a pallet (they only charged $25 for shipping!), not a scratch and in way better condition than listed. Hopefully I’ll have the 32 + 24 next to each other soon 😁.
I also developed some mods to the PSUs, trying to pick up where Tim Jones left off. Higher current handling and some protections for the outputs (plus upgraded rectifiers and beefier caps). If you’re interested in the details, and still have the console, let me know!
I just found your channel and I really enjoyed how you explained the switch matrix. I'd like to see another video where you go into it a little deeper. Thanks again,I now have a little better understanding of the switch matrix, good stuff!
I have another machine with a switch matrix issue and I'm making a video on it. This time, we'll video the troubleshooting as well. I'm hoping to have that out in a few weeks. We're in our busy season right now so finding time to make videos AND run the arcade gets thin.
Hey STEVE, what brand aerosol clear are you using here? Is it Verathane?
Varathane Premium Diamond Wood Finish - Outdoor (FYI: My name is Seven)
Ghost pepper and peanut butter? What madness is this? 😵💫
The Maritime kind.
Quick question… do you put anything in the holes before you clear? For context, I have removed everything from the top of the playfield but have not removed everything from under. I have put disposable earplugs in the holes where they fit and old bulbs in sockets but still have other holes like drop targets.
On the playfield in the video, everything had been removed. I've done machines with the bottom of the playfield still populated. I tape off things like drop targets, switches, etc. Bulb sockets have old bulbs in them.
Got it. Thank you.
Rum and butter??? Sounds good
Smoke break
On the official Qix flyer it even says "pronounced kicks".
💯
I guess that solves that. Now I just need to retrain my brain to call it that.

@@SevensPinballoramasuper, I just got my white version this week and had watched your videos prior to purchase, first impressions are very positive.
Big Lebowski ftw
If you ever get a Getaway, I may come over and never leave again! Lot of memories from the early 90s playing that one.
Awww....I missed the pinball extravaganza!
Thanks. I have been driving myself nuts working on a Williams Grand Prix that doesn't end the game correctly. As you say, I have replaced the coil on the game-over relay, but I guess I have to go back and inspect the switches on that relay more carefully. I think I did already. The machine is at my daughter's house in another city, so I only get to check it out every once and a while.
Might be something like this if it seems like the relay tries to close but never "latches". I run into this from time to time.
I recently had my Target Alpha not going to game over. My problem was unique in that the switch on motor 1C that provides power to the game over coil had lost it's power. More than likely a bad solder connection somewhere on the score motor...but where..? Since the power goes from the BX to the game over coil, a jumper was soldered on the BX from a switch with power to the switch that goes to the game over coil. Kind of an end around fix, but it's been working great.
So i have an alesis strike pro SE. im looking to add another cymbal, notably a splash, and i have a few questions. First off ive already have the cymbals set and and used a splitter from my tom4 rim and have gone into the settings and change change it manually to the splash cymbal i want, but my problem is i dont know how to save it. do i need to create a custom ki to get it to save?
Whoa that is super weird.
Oh man… I’m sorry your bought the pcb for no reason. Glad you found the problem though🎉
I'm actually ok with it at the end of the day. I like having a board or two floating around that fit in games on the floor. If something blows up I can swap the board. get the machine up and running quickly, and fix the old board when I have time. Also, in cases like this where it really seems like a MPU glitch, being able to swap the board can rule that out.
Yup , that’s definitely a weird one . Amazing what one loose wire can do to a machine . Glad you figured it out ! Thanks for sharing it with us !
Wow, thanks for the video.

Great Video. Any advice on adding another 8” Tom and two lemon splash cymbals? Still use the splitter?
If you aren't using the rim triggers on your toms, that's the way to go with the splitters. It will give you 4 more points to add triggers.
Good stream eh? Thanks!
Thanks eh…
